I upgraded to VS2020 from 2019 (like almost every year the same song ) also because of the new good looking animated titles.
But how do you use them?? is there a short tutorial or something for them?
I can edit text, but the background animation I cant edit it seems. When I move or resize the text, I cant drag and drop the background animation or adjust it. Its just not clickable or in the text properties. Must be doing something wrong I guess from my end, but is there any info on how to use these new titles?
Oke I did find out that you can do it by clicking on the title track, and selecting the small number.
If someone finds this topic, lets hope it can help.
Trying to edit a title/background is however VERY crash sensitive to VS2020 it seems. Pretty annoying.
There are 3 bad files.
There is no MOV file in the center.
Click on the bad file timeline
Video studio close up.
Please do not use it.
I reported it to Corel, but there was no answer for a long time.
This happened after installing the service pack.
The service pack solved a lot of problems.
However, this problem occurred.
Hi
A bit of history as far as I see it.
CVS2019 title library had 34 titles provided by the program
CVS2020 has had its library updated
The Title library has 53 basic titles similar to 2019
It also had 10 3D titles
Drag these to the timeline, double click will open the 3D Title Editor
As of Service Pack 2 (I think) another 15 title clips were added to the library
These are the ones being discussed here where the 2 can be seen on the clip.
Appears quite impossible to edit these types and I wonder if they should also open with the 3DTE, just a thought
Certainly difficult to manage and for me caused the program to crash, of course intermittent crashes are difficult to replicate.

The 3D title has been coming down since 2019 and there are no issues with editing.
A new title in 2020, this is a CC title. Sample above.
The editing method is completely different. It works well except for the bad samples above.
See the link below for instructions.
Thank you for the reply and link, unfortunately it does not address titles as such, it is a general video to whats new for 2020, unless I missed something.
For me 2020 new titles crash program
There are 15 new titles that look like lower thirds effects, they are positioned last in the library list
adding some title to timelines crash the program when double clicked on the timelines
noticeably 2,3 and 4 clips
Trying to change the positions of any title is difficult to do
I find that once the Mov has been selected and re-positioned I cannot select the text to move or change / edit.
Trying to achieve this randomly crashes the program, very unstable.
Example
Using the last clip, double click to select
move the clip to the left lower corner, that moves the text
select the "2" and Mov
the text may show but could be hidden due to its animation
Drag the Mov to left to align with text, if you can see the text?
There is no option to select the text
I then double clicked the text on preview screen to see a message relating to size
Program then crashed
Post updated
It does appear that once we select the Mov it overlays the text so we cannot select, we have to move the mov to allow us to select the text.

Good morning. You haven't seen all the links. Look at the link below.
2, Click. All, Title 3 1080.MOV, Lorem lpsum. There are three.
1. Select All to move, reduce, or enlarge all text titles.
2. Select Title 3 1080.MOV to control text only. Change color too.
3. Select Lorem lpsum. To control the title. Font, color. Change all zoom in, zoom out, move. https://learn.corel.com/tutorials/video ... e-content/
Hi
Thanks for that link
I followed the tutorial to changing the color hue
Then the tutor says “ Change the text to match your subject”
When I click the “2” to select the context menu nothing shows, I cannot select Text
The clip on the timeline remains showing the Mov option
And that is the same for all 15 new titles, except for the ones that crash the program
I can select the mov on the preview screen and reposition, that then allows me to select and move the text
Trying that as i write and the program crashes

A little more of a development here
I am in the UK and as such use Pal standards at 25 fps
If I change my Project Properties to use 30fps ( NTSC Standards) then things do appear to work
Where are you in this big wide world, are you using NTSC standard settings?
