Hey Community,
Brand new to video editing and after seeing all the reviews for VideoStudio 2020 I decided to purchase today. Upon installing and testing (messing around with the sample videos) I find that the program completely lags out and crashes when doing essentially anything in the edit tab.
System:
-i7-8700
-RTX 2080
-16.0 GB RAM
-224GB SSD
-1TB SATA
My computer isn't the best rig around, but it's certainly not the slowest thing by any means. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? or is there any information I can provide to help troubleshoot.

I would suggest you enable Smart Proxy files
Go to Settings Preferences ( F6)--Enable Smart Proxy
When you add a video clip to the timelines a proxy file will be created, takes a while then a small icon will be seen on the clip.
If you are using the Library Video Samples, most are 4K and I do need to use Smart Proxy
