Can't record voice-overs for more than a minute.

Can someone tell me why, when I make a voice recording clip, it only records one minute and 6 seconds at a time, then stops recording? It doesn't matter what the length of the other clips are,either. Right when I want to keep going, it stops then I have to start the recording process again. That's very annoying. Thanks.

So I went to chat, on the website, because there is no more phone support and I got this ridiculously long instruction, which is just a guess.
I would like to suggest deleting your computer's temp files and reset your VideoStudio 2020 to its default settings.

To delete the temp files in your computer, kindly follow the instructions that are provided in the link below.

Step 1: Clear Temp Files.
- Go to Start​
- Search Run(Winkey+R)
-Type %temp% in the available field
- Choose all files and delete (Some files may not be deleted so just click on Skip).
- Run the program

To reset your VideoStudio, kindly follow instructions that are listed below:

Before you reset your VideoStudio to its default settings, I would like to recommend saving your files first:

To save the VideoStudio library:
- Click Settings
- Click Library Manager
- Click Export Library...
- Select a destination folder or create one
- Click the OK button

To Import the VideoStudio Library
- Click Settings
- Click Library Manager
- Click Import Library...
- Select the destination folder that holds the exported library information
- Click the OK button

After saving your files, you can now proceed with resetting your software to its default settings:

1. On the keyboard, launch the Run box by pressing the Windows button then the letter R (Windows + R)
2. In the Open box, type %APPDATA% and press the enter key.
3. In the new window, find the Ulead Systems folder.
4. Open the Ulead Systems folder.
5. Open the Corel VideoStudio Pro folder.
6. There should be a folder named 23.0 here.
7. Rename 23.0 to 23.0_old.

I thought this was related to the frame rate and setting a different rate allowed the Voice Over to continue
I cannot find or recall the actual post as yet...

Setting the Project Properties to change the frame rate

For Pal change 25 fps to 50fps
for NTSC 29.97 to 59.94 fps

I have just tested 2020 and that did not stop at 1 second, just continued till i hit the mouse.

What version of video studio are you using for Voice Over

And welcome to the forums

Either I have been dreaming a problem with project properties, but somewhere in the back of my mind is nagging me
And all my attempts to search the forums have been in fruitless.
I am sure I followed a post with the same 1 minute limit, its annoying me.
We do know that setting project properties using Surround Sound will disable voice over all together, but that is not the issue.

I forgot to say for me voice over continues beyond 1 minute and only terminates when i stop it

Can you check your Project Properties Settings - project properties, what are they?

I checked the project properties. I think you are onto something. The settings were set to mobile. I changed it to Online and it recorded for 1min32sec. That's an improvement. What settings should it be set at for making videos to upload to Youtube?

I tried switching to a bunch of different Project Properties. Nothing else seemed to work. Any other suggestions? Ok, thank you.

OMG! You are my HERO! Yes, my display background was set to slideshow and changed the background of my desktop every 1 minute. When I changed it to a single permanent picture and tried the videostudio ultimate 2020 voice-over again. It ran and ran until I stopped it myself. Thank you soooo much Lata!!!!

Sorry I forgot about this post. I'm going to try it again. I quit videostudio for a while because I got disgusted with it. Now I'm back trying again and had another serious problem that I hope I can fix now.
