Certain accented characters cannot be used in Video Studio

Although accents on particular letters such as ŷ and ŵ (required in Welsh text) have been available on most standard fonts in Windows - Calibri, Arial, Times etc for many, many years, it appears they still cannot be used on Video Studio Pro 2020. Or at least, they didn't work for me. I'm very surprised! Any particular reason why the program will not accept the full range of characters?

You can try Windows "Character Map" and paste where desired in text.

Thanks but tries that ... ŷ appears as y and ŵ appears as w.

Other text tools, 3DT, BCC, and NBTitle Editor all appear to retain the Ŵ symbol,
A little remiss of the main program not to do the same

Have you reported this to Corel Support?
But then they will only ask you to re-install the program

I have created a ticket for the attention of Corel Support about this matter four days ago - awaiting response.
