Overtrack image not showing when play

Hello,
I am brand new to Video Studio. Until recently I used Pinnacle Studio Ultimate, which I have used for a very long time. I thought I would try VS instead, hoping I would have less issues. To see what I could produce very quickly I have tried 2 of the instant projects but had issues with both. Basically one or more images on the overlay track do not appear in the preview screen when I press play but they do when I use the scrubber. I wondered if it was just a display thing so I exported both projects and the images that did not play do not render either. I logged a ticket with Corel and they basically asked me to reset the library but this did not work and they have not come back to me since.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas why this occurs and how I might fix it.

Thanks for the info here

A recent post identified a similar problem, we then found that some Instant Projects were also being affected

Playing a clip ( Project Playback) with a transparency and Basic Motion applied did not show, but ok in Clip Playback.
I would suspect that you are experiencing the same

Can you tell us which templates you were using?

The problem has been reported as a bug to Corel’s development team
I doubt the information has been passed to Corel Support

Hi, yes that is exactly the problem.
the templates I used are Project-02.vsp and Project-03.vsp

Hello again, for information I have found that, by using Advanced Motion to replicate the settings in Basic Motion, the images (jpgs in this case) work fine.
