corel visual studio x10 google couldn't log you in

Post by chrisbinnc »

Every time I try to post to YouTube directly from VS x10, it says

"Google Couldn't log you in.
This browser or app may not be secure. Learn more

Try using a different browser. If you’re already using a supported browser, you can refresh your screen and try again to sign in."

Of course, this browser is embedded into VS x10 (version 10.5) so I don't know what I can do.

Yes, I can create a local file and then upload to YouTube through the web browser, but it doubles my upload time and I didn't pay for this software feature only for it not to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chris

VS has many issues however, it's hardly fair to expect Corel to patch years-old versions of VS, e.g. X10, X9, X8, X7, etc., because YouTube has decided not to support obsolete, insecure browsers. That said, you could try contacting Corel Support and see if there is a patch.

Upgrade to a newer version of VS that doesn't have a depreciated browser or simply keep using X10 and upload your rendered video using a browser supported by YT.

How come? What power does VS has that it can get uploads quicker than what your ISP gives you?

Since x10 - only 4 versions ago - security protocol changes have occurred in how browsers connect to websites. YT also changed it's upload preferences to mp4, which is a sizably larger file than it used to spec. Quite possibly your X10 cannot manage the protocol changes, and the browser upload taking longer - is probably normal.
And lastly, is your X10 up to date?? Help/About should show x10.5.0.60 for a 64bit system.
