What is the bnest way to bring down video size after editing

Post by HenryBuck »

Hello again.

After editing a video ( adding a title or small intro ) somehow the file size gets too large. What is the best way to cut the size down and still keep decent resolution?

It usually depends on what format the original video is in and what format you are rendering to; and if they are both the same format, what is the bitrate of the original video and what is the bitrate of the video you are producing. In practice, bitrate is usually the deciding factor determining size for videos in the same format. The higher the bitrate, the bigger the video clip.

Hello Ken, I record it to MP4. I'm not to sure about bitrate, I was just wondering of there is a tool that can cut down the file size and keep a decent quality. The video is a tutorial taht has to meet size requirements for upload.

Thank you again.

In VS, right click one of the original files in the timeline and note its bitrate. Then in Share, look at the bitrate in the output option you choose there...
