Just joined figured I have the software and apparently a lot of time on my hands. Lets learn something. easier said than done i think. Anyway, after pulling up a tutorial on what I was trying to do I must be missing something. I have two pics that I want to put side by side to compare. I've got the 2 pics in the organizer tray and I have a blank backround in black in the layers box to the right of the screen. according to the tutorial I should be able to drag each pic to the layers box. what happens is i get a red circle with a red line (you cant perform that function symbol) when I try to do it. My understanding is that I can move the pic and then drag it into the work space . once there I can resize and move it around. For reference, this is what Im trying to do

Re: moving pics from org. tray to layers area
Hello,
it should work but you need to have at least 1 layer already created in your image Then grab as many images you want from the organizer and drag them ABOVE the existed layer (the mouse pointer stays in that red circle mode until you position the mouse on or above the existed layer).
Actually the way to add images as new layers using the mouse is to drag them ON that little "pages"-like icon, next to the 'eye' icon of the layer. No matter where you drag them from (organizer or windows explorer), to bring them in an existed image as new layers you can drag them ON that icon: http://prntscr.com/rt7ulc

Re: moving pics from org. tray to layers area
That's what I was missing. I wasn't dragging above the existing layer. Thank you
