Yet again I face another Videostudio 2019 bug that will not let me proceed with editing a recently created project.
The culprit this time is the MSPEEffectFunc.dll.
It appears that the application can no longer find the transition effects and instead of just throwing an error alert it just shuts down.
Can't replace them manually either as the app crashes on that attempt.
Has anyone else run into this issue and found a fix? I'm at my wits end with this VideoStudio build. So unreliable.
MSPEEffectFunc.dll contantly causing crashes - any fix?

Re: MSPEEffectFunc.dll contantly causing crashes - any fix?
UPDATE: The issue was caused from using a VS Pro X4 template and opening in VS 2019.
Apparently the embedded file names for the filters and effects has changed as well as the pathway between versions. Hence, the new version can not load the older application components.
COREL SOLUTION: Crash the program.
SHURIKEN FIX: Edit code function to alert user upon opening older and now incompatible project files. Run relink function on all structural components of file and ask to remap, loading placeholders for skipped items.
