Menu Text Does Not Display in PSP2020

I've been trying to get an answer to this issue, which has been happening since I installed PsP2020 last month, with no luck.

NONE of the menu text displays... in fact, almost NO TEXT AT ALL displays, so I cannot use drop-down menus, change settings, etc. It means the program is basically unusable. It's bad enough that all of the "free extras" that came with the order don't work on my 32x machine, but now even the main program doesn't.

(Meanwhile, my absolutely ancient copy of Jasc PSP 9 is used extensively every day with no issues whatsoever. I try to keep the latest version just in case...)

I saw one other person seemed to have the same issue here on the forum, but they never got an answer to their problem either. I have run the "repair" option for the program, ran it in "compatibility mode", etc, with no success. My download link is only active until April 1, 2020, so I will try to reinstall but I am not hopeful.

Try to launch while holding down the Shift key until PSP ask you if you want to reset to initial values. Say OK.

If no success, I suggest you uninstall with the cleaner tool from Corel: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=52337
Download the program again and reinstall both versions (32+64).

Actually - and I stand to be corrected - I believe the correct procedure is to uninstall using Windows uninstall option and then run the cleanup tool. Please someone correct me if this is incorrect!

All one has to do is read the top two lines in the thread containing the links to the clean up tool.

Note: Corel has stressed that the cleanup tool should only be used for problem installations.

You should always use the Windows Control Panel to uninstall first and if there is an issue then use the cleanup tool.

It is not strictly an installation problem, IMHO. The installation doesn't stop nor gives an error. The program is installed but doesn't work as expected.

I agree with the need to uninstall with the Windows Control Panel. But the Corel Cleanup tool should be used just after, IMHO.

The reinstall didn't work... same problem... I hadn't seen the extra clean-up tool yet, so first I am going to try the shift/click thing, which didn't display properly (see attched)

NOPE, the shifty thing didn't work... will try to uninstall AGAIN, then try that cleaner... stay tuned...

I suggest you download a fresh copy from Corel's website.

Re-installation still didn't work, even after using the Corel cleaner. Also have tried using Compatibility mode. The program icon on the desktop does say "32" on it, so it is the right version for my PC.

I am only allowed to download the program until April 1st, so my only other option is trying to download the trial version from the product page, then enter my registration number. Other than that, I have no clue what is wrong. BUT the file name, when downloaded from the PRODUCT PAGE as opposed to my INVOICE PAGE, is indeed different.

Installing from the product page does not fix the issue. Looks like I may have to try and get a refund... shame...

Reading the posts does appear to be your environment rather than a PSP issue
Have you checked the version of your graphics drivers etc

You may be best to contact Corel Support for their opinion on this matter
Mind you if you are to request a refund I suspect you would ask the question first.

Just for the record, Corel agreed I should just get a refund for the purchase. I'll have to keep this in mind when future releases come out...

It might be a good idea to start with a free trial version on new releases just to make sure it's compatible with your system.
