Hello, Any help with this issue that is very annoying for me would be greatly appreciated.
In Psp 2019 when I go save as, the view always comes up in "TILE VIEW" and I have to change it to the "DETAIL VIEW", (which I prefer for my use). Is there a way to have it save to the detail view.

Re: Save As Default view (Please Help)
From a quick experiment I have found
If you use the Manage or Organiser to load your images or Windows Explorer in thumbnail view to drag and drop a thumbnail into the workspace then Save As will show the thumbnail view of the folder you are saving to.
If You use windows explorer to open a folder, change that to Details and drag an image to the workspace then when you do a Save As it will show that destination folder in Details view.

Thank you for this, but it did not work for me. When I went to save as, the details screen did briefly flash but then then the tiles took over. I am perplexed.hartpaul wrote:From a quick experiment I have found

Re: Save As Default view (Please Help)
One possibility which might be worth exploring would be to reset PSP. Hold down the Shift key when you click the desktop icon to open PSP. You'll be asked if you want to reset. Make sure you save any customized workspace before you do this as it will otherwise be lost in the reset.

Thanks Ken. After reading your post I tried the reset, but no success. I don't get it. I would have thought this was a problem for everyone. Seems like i am the only one with this issue.Ken Berry wrote:One possibility which might be worth exploring would be to reset PSP. Hold down the Shift key when you click the desktop icon to open PSP. Re: Save As Default view (Please Help)
Hi
It may be a windows explorer issue
I have set my folders to show in Detail View
That seems to work for most of my folders but the Pictures Folders seems stubborn and does not follow the Details view, well not always.
If you open any folder and View tab – change to Details
To the right of the menu bar I see Options – Change Folder and Search options
Opens the Folder Options panel – View Tab – Apply to Folders
If you haven’t tried this then maybe worth a go, you can always do again choosing Restore Defaults
Even so if I do Save As to the Pictures folder it shows Large Icons, but then I do not use the Pictures folder, most if not all other folders show in detail.

Re: Save As Default view (Please Help)
YES.... You are correct Lata, and Thank you. This does seem to be the issue! If I go save as and to another folder, not specified as pictures folder, the details view comes up. But what a conundrum! I have the folders set as pictures file for a reason. Also a funny thing is that this issue only happens for me with Psp, any other graphics program (even Corel Photo Paint) does not have this issue.lata wrote:Hi
