Corel X10 Closes Randomly

Hi All,

I'm using Corel Video Studio X10, which I had open then when I came back program closed!

When I try to restart the program I get an error box saying "Cannot Initialize application" Error Code 15034:1:35

Any ideas what this is?

I did a google and found this older post

Have you changed anything in regards to the default screen size of 100%

And as far as not being able to reopen, have you looked in the Background Processes part of Task Manager under either V for VideoStudio or C for Corel Video Studio? If there is an entry there, then right click it and choose End Task. Sometimes, when the program closes, an element of it remains active and needs closing before you can reopen it.

Can we assume that it reopens if you reboot the computer?

Hello I figured out a fix for this on my system, hopefully it will work for you. I reinstalled x10 on 1/25/2024, and this problem occurred. The windows event viewer showed "Faulting application name: vstudio.exe, version: 20.5.0.60, time stamp: 0x599334e7". So you have to start this program as if it where 2017.
