Hello, why does my motion duration changed when i change the duration of clip??
The illustation is here :
https://lawusolution.com/uploads/2020/0 ... Pajang.mp4
Look, i have created motion for 1 second moving object to the top.
But when i change duration of the image/clip, the motion become change too.
How to make make motion duration keep in just 1 second when i change the duration?
Thanks.
Change duration of clip, the motion also changed!

That is what we would expect
What effect are you trying to create
If you wish the image to float up over 3 seconds then remain static on screen for avfew more seconds you can do that.
Your best option would be to use Customise Motion to set the keyframes to set sizes and positions
I would think stretching the clip duration has stretched the keyframe, changing keyframe 2 position back to 1 second should fix this.
I assume keyframe 2

Re: Change duration of clip, the motion also changed!
Thanks for reply,
Yes, i use customize option, using keyframe. But when i strecth the image to make the duration longer, the motion also changed. Moving the keyframe again is not solution i think.
How to make it static or how to lock this motion? so when i strecth duration, my motion stay there.

Re: Change duration of clip, the motion also changed!
Hi
If your image is 4 seconds and you set Custom Motion to move the object over 2 seconds, you will add a key frame at 2 seconds, at 50%
Those settings being copied to the last keyframe, the object will stay in position for 2 seconds
Now if we change the duration of the clip to 10 seconds the effect will run over 10 seconds and not 4 seconds effectively slowing everything down
The second Keyframe will now be at 50% or 5 seconds
The motion from K1 to K2 slows down
You would have to move K2 back to 2 seconds
Otherwise set the duration to the correct length then apply Customise Motion
I have attached a VSP showing a clip at 4 seconds, then increased to 10 seconds and then having the keyframe repositioned to 2 seconds
View Customise motion for each blue clip
I do not know how else to explain this

Re: Change duration of clip, the motion also changed!
Trevor has the proper solution: reset the key point.
A second option is more complicated but here it is.
- Play the existing clip (Clip mode) then back up to one frame past the key where the motion stops.
- Cut the clip.
- Now you can expand the right cut clip without touching what was the head of the original clip.

VS use relative KF and not absolute. So you better set the proper clip duration before doing any KF'ing
