Mouse left click bug

Post by dangelic0 »

I think PSP 2020 loses track of mouse left click events sometimes. My mouse never stops working outside PSP, but here is what I can reporduce:
1) Open 2 documents, each with 5-10 layers.
2) Bounce back and forth between the two a few times using whatever method you want (mouse-> menu, keyboard->Alt->W commands)
3) Copy, paste, move something on each document while there.

Eventually PSP can no longer accept left clicks from the mouse

Not really looking for a solution, but if corroborated by other users, we should report it!

Thanks
Dean

FYI - exiting and restarting PSP does not help - it takes a Windows 10 restart

Step 2 is unclear.
Bounce back and forth between the two a few times using whatever method you want (mouse-> menu, keyboard->Alt->W commands)
Alt W opens the Window Menu - New Window, Tabbed Documents etc
Mouse --> Menu ??? I have no idea what that means ? Does it mean click on the Menu bar?
Or do you mean make each document active , make a change (add another layer , paste someting into a layer, adjust Brightness and contrast or similar) and then make the other document active and repeat some different actions there.
I am also not sure under what conditions you would have 2 documents with 5-10 layers and be switching from one document to the other - usually you work on one document and finish that off before working on another document.

I have set up 2 documents with 7 layers ,then started adding picture tubes on new layers switching to the other document and doing the same, repeating by adding some text , moving some layers around and switching between documents about 7 times and just gave up as I could not replicate your situation and I am only guessing at what you mean by point 2 and point 3 and the number of times to cause the problem.

Is your mouse wired or wireless. If wireless does it have fresh batteries?
