I have a number of overlay tracks which are sprinkled on the screen at 5% size and I want to make an effect where they all float towards the center in kind of a spiral path (imagine them getting flushed down a toilet although that's not what I hope the viewer thinks of). The customize motion tool is great at moving things linearly but not so much to move something in an arc. Even if I try to break the motion down into small steps it always looks like just a series of small straight lines. I haven't used motion tracking and wondered if there was a way to use that. Any ideas on how to do this?
Using Ultimate 20.
Thanks,

Re: Circular motion for overlay tracks
You should be able to do it using "paths" - that's the bottom icon to the right of the screen - a squiggle with a box each end
open that library and drag the concentric path down onto the clip - now right click on the clip and choose 'customise motion' - now when the customise motion opens you should see a customisable curve which your clip will follow
if you change the shape of the path you can use the "save to" option in the module to save that path which will then be available in the 'Custom' sub-folder of 'paths' and you can use it again -- or modify it and save another custom path
The default spiral supplied goes outward any rate so you may have to do some works to make it go inwards - I believe you can draw and import your own paths - but you will need to read how to do that

Oh, perfect - never realized that was there. Thank you!

Re: Circular motion for overlay tracks
Just saw your edit - it's very easy to modify, add points, manipulate the path to make it tangent to the key frames for smooth motion, etc. Exactly what I was hoping for, should have realized it was there. Now I only have 2 more dumb questions left for the year!
