Re: Gif Palettes
I don't know what you mean by this. I do have older copies of PSP at home but not here so I can't look at it.
When I open a GIF I can go to Image -> Palette -> Edit Palette and it'll show all of the colors in the image as indexed in the GIF format. In fact, I rely on this for one of my scripts. If I save an image as GIF without first decreasing the color depth then the version of the image that remains open in my workspace is still a full true-color image even though it says ".gif" in the title bar. I either have to manually decrease the colors or close and reopen the image to get the palette to show at that point.
Now, on the materials palette, there are three options for selecting colors. 1) Swatches - these are pre-saved colors 2) Color Palette, this is a palette represented by the available colors inside the image 3) Sliders
If I select the "palette" button it shows the image's color palette there as well for me. You can see the button selection on the materials palette showing you the current image's palette for selecting colors from when I load my GIF into PSP 2020.

Re: Gif Palettes
Hi, I'm glad to know you are also using the 2020, then perhaps their recent patch 2 messed things for the gif palettes. I installed the 2020 recently in Windows10. I'm still trying to find the proper way to report errors to them. So very nice of you to take the time to help me!

Re: Gif Palettes
I am running 2020 on Windows 10, and I have it updated to vers 20.2.0.8. And I can still access the palette.
Have you tried resetting your install of PSP? Just close it, then hold SHIFT while opening PSP.
