I'm little bit confusing using slip clip and delete for clip.
when i split the clip, and delete clip, my another clip moved to left.
I have hundres of videos on my timeline, sound and text, so this thing makes me crazy.
How to delete the clip, without make another clip move??
Thanks

Is it your first project?

Re: How to cut out clip without move another clip
Sounds as though you are not using the very latest versions (it really would help if you added the version number to your profile - or at least told us when you post a question) - because up to the latest version every single version of Videostudio has done that - everything in the top video track closes to the left if you leave a gap - being doing that for the 20 or so years that I have been using Videostudio
So whats the answer - well you could update to the latest version - but their not so good - SO - do what I have been doing for the last 20 years - do not use the to video track - simply use one of the many many overlay tracks and put all your videos in there - then when you delete a bit of video it will just leave a hole in your story which you can close however you want

If it is the Video track and you just want to leave it empty, replace it with a color.
E.g. in the Library choose Graphic->Color and drag the black color to the clip while holding the Ctrl key down.
Otherwise use "Ripple Editing" to lock tracks.

Re: How to cut out clip without move another clip
Guys, thanks for reply,
Honest, i'm new in this software.
The detail is here : https://lawusolution.com/uploads/2020/0 ... -Moved.mp4
Look, when i move my midle clip to the right, the right clip also moved!
when i move my midle clip to the left, the right clip also moved to the left.
when 1 delete the middle clip, the righ clip also moved to the left.
what i want is, i can move midle clip without change another clip position.
thanks guys,,

Re: How to cut out clip without move another clip
Power Director gives you a choice. That is something VS does not do and I would like to see it done. VS is still a more flexable and easy to use program compared to PD with all its fanfare. If they would put effort into reducing crashes, it would be excellent-the best in its class. However, if the replaced clip is larger than the selected cut clip problems will occur with related items on your tracks below such as titles and sound etc.

Re: How to cut out clip without move another clip
Hi
It is by design that all clips will move left to close the gap when removing any frames.
After a while you will get used to it and does work well.
Yes 2019 / 2020 does employ gap editing options,
You may be best to use the overlay track to edit your video, that way they will remain in place when trimming the clips.
You can set Preferences F6 edit tab to Use Fit to screen, assuming your video is 16:9.
But what do you intend to do with the gap?
