Image resize psp2020

Why is it that when I try to resize some images, the program crashes? I´ve tried renaming it but the same thing happens.
However, if I open it with PSP 7 it works ok.

Possibly:
- outdated file format, as JPEG still evolve
- small errors in file, most viewers ignore it, but PSP during increase security leads to crash
- improper content in file, tampered, or wrong extension, some online services add to photo extra comments, copyright info etc.

What do you mean by "some"?
Are they different from others?

However, if I open it with PSP 7 it works ok.

1.Open both PSP 7 and PSP 2020. Make PSP7 active
2.Open the problem image(s) in PSP7
3. Make an image active, then drag the layerthumb of that image down to your task bar and over the PSP 2020 there.
4. PSP2020 should then open up. Continue dragging upward into the PSP2020 workspace and release. A copy of that image should now appear in the PSP2020 workspace.

Can you now work on that image to resize without any problems?
