Failed install after download

I have downloaded patches for MovieFactory3. When I try to install, I get the message that it can't find MovieFactory on my computer. I even opened MovieFactory first. It still couldn't find it. Help!

Re-Install MovieFactory3 original (purchased version) over the existing installation.
Then try installing the updates.

if you have an OEM/SE version of DMF3, you wont be able to install the DL Support patch (see the heading of the patch in the updates page). DL patch is for Full versions only.
