Unable to export mp4, 1080, 50fps ?!?

Post by matt37550 »

Hi,

My drone files are mp4,1080, 50 fps but videostudio can't export with this specs (only 25fps)
How can I manage this ? Is there a patch or any other solution to resolve this issue ?

Thanks.

Hi
X7 is quite old and has not been updated to use the higher frame rates for MP4
I do know that X9 will use 1920 x 1080 x 50P

The problem is not just the Share output but the actual timeline will only accept 25fps for MP4 using 1920 x 1080
When you insert your 50P video to the timeline it will only display half of the frames as it can only use 25fps. (View the clock when playing the clips)

Your best option may be to increase the frame size to 4K (3840 x 2160) that will allow you to set the project properties to use 50P
Then Share Same as Project Properties will use settings similar to :-

PAL double (50 fps)
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 3840 x 2160, 50 fps
Frame-based
H.264 High Profile Video: 15000 Kbps, 16:9
48000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 256 Kbps

if X7 show 3840 x 2160, 50 fps it will surly do 1080/50p.
All you need to do is to click on the + and select that setting.

No afraid not 1920 x 1080 x 50P is not available using X7

adding a MP4 1920 x 1080 x 50P to the timeline does NOT activate messages to match the PP because PP cannot be set to those properties

It's hard to beat you Trevor as you got them all installed,
but

and click on More HD support, custom image, it shows 1080 60P.

Yes you can have 50P provided you use AVCHD -- MTS files, but Matt is working with MP4

I was going to mention that but did not think converting to MTS was better than upping the frame size and using MP4

and yes i do have X7 installed as of today to answer this post.

Even with the + it doesn't work...
