I am trying to import a .avi video into Corel Video Studio X10. When I try to add it, I get. File Format Mismatch 1081:1:3. How do I work around this??

In any case, AVI is just a wrapper format, which means it can contain video from a wide variety of sources, with widely different properties, yet all are called AVI. They can range from "true" uncompressed AVI, which is huge (ove 60 GB for an hour of video) to ultra highly compressed video. So your video might be a form of AVI which VS cannot handle. All I can think of would be to use a video converter like Handbrake or Format Factory, and convert it either to another version of AVI or else convert it to, say, mp4. Then insert the new version in VS.
