Is it possible for DVD Workshop2 to burn a project to my hard drive that is larger than 4.4 GB?

yes, it should be able to burn larger than 4.4gb (but there might be an upper limit over DL sizes).

The DVD Folders should be fine, but the ISO image would require that you have NTFS drives to handle larger than 4gb files...

If you install the latest WS2 patches, you should be OK.
