Sort out your accounts system

Post by nqplaques »

Im hoping this reaches someone higher up in Corel.

My frustration level with the account system is a total mess.

My Scenario:
I originally had 3 computers on a perpetual license with additional subs as computers were added later on that was spread across 2 accounts.
All I want to do is start fresh with the account and apply 6 subs to 6 computers.
Last year was a total mess and despite a re-seller assisting me they really had no idea what was going on either however we did manage to merge the accounts into 1 which was nice.
When I look in the account I see so much information its ridiculous and to make matters worse the expiry dates dont match what Im being told at another end.
I am in Australia and my closest Country manager is Sathish for India. How does that even make any sense. I just want to get on the phone and sort it out.
My re-seller has such limited access and despite being very helpful were also extremely frustated.
How about a contact in Australia, surely to christ you have enough users here.

What you should be doing:

A simple License screen.
You have 1,2,3,4,5,6 Licenses with these ID's to assign to computers you use.
Whether these be Perpetual or not just say this is a perpetual or upgrade or sub.
Then have payment options on each license seeing how bulk quantity is no cheaper.

Also whats going on with upgrade program? It was stated that there were changes moving everything to sub but then you still run the upgrade program....

At the end of the day a rep in Australia with actual account management abilities would be best.
The whole re-seller idea while might have been a great thought for just flogging the products is totally impractical.

Ive been working through this for nearly 3 years now and its the same every year a drama that is very time costly to the point of giving up which is really making corel look bad on its face and Ive been a Corel user for over 20 years.

Sort it out.

Hi nqplaques
And welcome to the forums
Unfortunately we do not work for Corel, most of the people here are volunteers running the forums, helping users with their program issues, license problems are one thing we know nothing about
I assume you have contacted Corel Support as you mention Sathish in India and as such should have a reference / ticket number
If you have can you give details.

I will pass the details of this post to Corel Support although you appear to be talking to them anyway.

ok thanks after all this time and much frustration and receiving a disgustingly overpriced quote we decided to go about it another way to save both more time wasted and money.
