Corel Video Studio 2019 dont accept mp4 from Adobe premiere

it is not possible to import mp4 files in corel video studio that was created with adobe premiere pro 2020.
all other players work fine, all other video cutting software also.
i use a tool for scan the codec, its 100% the same like all other mp4.

can some body help oder tell me witch dll need a update?

No idea about the dll -- and who would do the update if it were identified... But an alternative would be to run the Adobe mp4 through a converter like Handbrake to produce another mp4...

In my German forum there is the same problem with a user. He reported the following:

Since then the videos are no longer accepted by corel Video Studio 2019. The error message comes: File format conflict. However, the videos are on all known players and other editing programs played without problems. Also codec selection programs recognize absolutely no difference in the codec to other mp4 programs. The corel support confirmed that they find the same problem with my test file. And I recommend the file (with loss) in the future always convert.
Instead of just bringing out an update.

Six weeks ago I've reported the bug to Corel, they could reproduce it and confirm. There should be a hotfix in thr future for VS2019 and so also in the later following VS2020. So far the topic.

I have just discovered this same problem. Spent hours on it today. Could’t figure out what it could be. Hope a hot fox coming soon!! So frustrating. Every other mp4 file works fine.

Sure enough --- re-rendered the adobe premiere mp4 in another video program -- keeping all properties the same --- resulting new mp4 looks perfect, no degradation and now opens in VS just fine.

so grateful for this post -- I was so frustrated yesterday. Could not figure out why Premiere files produced recently with same output settings, wouldn't open in Corel and other produced just a few months ago did.

so crazy, frustrating and annoying -- only Corel... always the oddest of glitches.

I'm also having trouble opening mov files in VS now too.. same error message. File mismatch.

looks like my quicktime player is gone from my PC -- could that be why the mov files are suddenly showing up as "file mismatch"

please advise... I'm sure I had quicktime player installed.

It's not so much the QT player but the QT .mov codec which is important. Apple withdrew QT from the PC world because of some problem, I think, with the player. But you might need to reinstall it, and there is a method of doing so with just the codec and nothing else.

Go to https://support.apple.com/downloads/quicktime and download the QT installer. Then run it. On the page which appears make sure only Essentials is chosen. That will install just the codec.

With Win 10 users, you have no choice -- unless it is a Pro version where you can postpone it, but not, ultimately, avoid it.

That being said, I have had Win 10 since essentially it first came out, and currently have version 1909 on 8 computers. And I have the QT codec .mov on 4 of those. And it has remained there, untouched, with all Win 10 updates in the past couple of years. So while I accept that Ilene is having problems, I am not sure that it relates to the Win 10 updates...

Like Ken Windows 10 updates have not affected the QT codec
