Corel video studio

Can anyone help someone with only VERY basic tech skill:
I used Corel video editing to take 2 minutes out of a video i downloaded from Youtube that i wanted to put on my Facebook page.
-Facebook rejected it (and seemed to mistake the file for a photo rather than video)
- Youtube also rejected it (the direct link from the Corel software didnt work either and i never normally have trouble logging into it)
-Even the online video converter i tried putting it into rejected it.
None will say why specifically except its the wrong file type.

You do not give any details of your video file, what type of file is it, how long is it
If you are able to import the original video to Video Studio, right click the video and choose properties, what are they?
It is a possibility that the downloaded video has some sort of copyright embedded which would cause problems.
If so you should not be downloading anyway unless its your property.
As you are unable to use other software to convert the video, I assume you mean the original file.
After downloading the video are you able to upload to YT without any changes, or does that fail.
What did you use to download the video, try a different download manager.

First - if everyone who has a problem with Videostudio just titles their post "Corel Video Studio" we will have thousands of identical posts all called Corel Video Studio - how are we supposed to know which is which - PLEASE give your topics a meaningful title so we can follow them in future and provide the follow up you may need

Second - please provide a bit more information in your questions - specifically at the moment - what was the format of the file you downloaded - what was the file extension - what properties does it have - THEN - after you cut the bit out what did you do in Videostudio before you uploaded it to facebook - what is the format of the file you are trying to upload - what is the file extension and what properties does it have
