Unable to make DVD using 6 channel sound AVI file

i've been using my trial version of moviefactory 4 for a while now. And its treated me very well - so far! I've got a load of Avi files ive captured from TV that im burning to DVD. the 20+ have worked fine. But for some reason when I captured the current AVI file I captured it with 6 sound channels.
I am unable to convert this to DVD as MF4 falls over with an error. And im unable to covert this file back to 2 channels - when I do this with another program I get no sound. Any ideas on how to burn this 6 channel sound AVI file to DVD - anyway at all?
