Moving overlays

Post by okyou »

I have a clip that has 6 overlays. If I add another 2 overlays and try to move all the existing overlay down 2 lines. I have to move them one by one down the row. Even though I can group the overlay, the group can move horizontally but not vertical. Is anyone know anyway the overlay group can move vertically ?

Thanks

Hi
You should move one overlay track in turn, one at a time.
1 / Select the first clip on the overlay track add a Chapter or Cue point to the beginning of this clip.
2 / Using Shift click the first and last clip, will select all clips on that overlay.
3 / Drag up/down to the new track, drop a little to the right, with the clips still selected click again to drag back to Cue point which should snap to keeping the clip in the same timeline position.
4 / repeat for other tracks
