I also used version 22.1.0.44 x64 like Ken Berry. Update 2 from the official website "Corel.de" could not be installed, either manually or directly in the program. So I uninstalled this version. Then I started the Ultimate purchase version 22.0.0.132 from the Corel DVD. It was shown to me in the setup that a ZIP archive with the name "psp2020ult.zip" was downloaded into the setup directory "PHOTOPRO". The file size is approximately 569 MB and probably contains the update version 22.2.0.8!

Well, this is a somewhat cumbersome update process on the part of Corel. :| Quickly restored my settings and replaced the splash screen images, done. :mrgreen:

Has anyone that has installed the latest update seen any issues with it, after that disaster with AfterShot last update I'm trying to be more careful of my patching and updating.

One thing I have found with corel is that they have stopped putting the latest version number of the product AFTER the update is applied. It makes it very difficult to keep track all the different versions. I have started keeping a record for my own reference and the current list, as far as I could work out, is this:

Paintshop Pro - X8 - 18.3.0.13
Paintshop Pro - X9 - 19.2.0.7 {given on the update download page}
Paintshop Pro - 2018 - 20.2.0.1
Paintshop Pro - 2019 - 21.1.0.22
Paintshop Pro - 2020 - 22.2.0.8

Can the moderator please ask them to officially put this info on the download page so that users know what they are supposed to have on their machine.

Thank you.

I buy the software on the web so the download link only works for 30 days after which it expires. So the only way for me is to make copies of the downloaded software if I need to reinstall it when there is a serious crash on the machine or some corruption such as updates not working. Thankfully, this hasn't happened yet but I also make image of the drive because of Windows 10 updates that can mess up something on the system.

I just installed Update 2. Of all the software products I own, this has got to be the worst update process. Just trying to figure out how to exit the program to continue the install is a major PITA. And then odd messages about duplicate files that provide little insight into the issue. What a waste of time for what should be simple update process.

Just kill the process and then download the update file manually and run it by double clicking on it. You need to be an Administrator to install the update.
