Changing Video Size
When I import a small video ( example: 5.6 MB ) into the EDIT Timeline to simply trim a portion from the beginning and end, then go to "SHARE," it increases the video size in rendering to ( example: 57MB ). ~ How can I better Edit and Share without the video jumping in size so drastically? ~ Thanx!

Re: Changing Video Size
On the share you could select a different profiles you have availble. Select the one which fits your needs:
You could also see an estimated file size on the same view:

Re: Changing Video Size
Thank you for the suggestion of selecting the desired profile. That I do, generally wanting an MPEG-4.
To attempt to be clearer, however, if I want to edit ( Shorten ) an ORIGINAL 7.48 MB MPEG-4 ( by just trimming the beginning and end by a second or so, much less doing anything else ), then select “Share,” the result of the rendered video is a much LARGER 118 MB MPEG-4 Video.
How can the SHORTER EDITED MPEG-4 formatted video be rendered LONGER than the ORIGINAL MPEG-4 video? - Thanx!

Re: Changing Video Size
Hi
Generally video sizes are related to the Data Rate used to create the file
You should notice that the default HD 1920 x 1080 MP4 template uses 15Mbps and if your original is using 8mb then the new file is gonna be larger
What are the properties of your video file, right click and choose properties.
There are several ways to match your video files properties which should create a new file with a comparable size
1 / at the top of the Share panel to the left is the option “ Same as Project settings”, greyed out but tick the box and “Same as First Clip” could be available, that will use the clips settings.
2 / From the timeline select the clip then File – Save Trimmed Video will create a new file using the same settings as your file.
3 / From Share – you can always create your own template using a frame size - data rate to control the sizes.
If you start a new project and add your video do you see a message to match the video files properties, that will set the project properties. As in 1 above Same as Project properties would work for you.

Thanx, Trevor!
I will give those suggestions a try!

Hey, Trevor!
I finally had the chance to try your suggestion for creating a Rendered Video to be around the same size as the Original Video ( "tick the box and (select) “Same as First Video Clip” , that will use the clips settings." ) BOOM!
This will save me an inordinate amount of time by not having to upload a Video to a time-consuming "Send Large Files" site, create a Password, email my recipients with that information and more!
Thanx a Gigabyte!
