Black Lines on the left side of imported MP4 videos.

Every single time I put an MP4 video into videostudio, even if it's exported from videostudio, five horizontal black lines appear on the left side of the screen. No, these are NOT the black bars on either side of a video that occur when the aspect ratio is off, this is something else entirely different. If I make the mp4 video slightly larger and then recenter it, it cuts off the black lines, and they no longer appear in the export, but I don't want to have to keep doing that. It didn't use to happen. I'm not entirely sure what changed, but I would like some help please, this has been going on for almost a year. I have attached an example image.
