I shot a piece of colour, daylight video which consists of my forearm and hand, whilst I do finger clicks and I shot it against a green screen background. What I'm trying to do without success so far is to make my hand and forearm pure black against a white (or any colour) background so the video will just be two colours.
I've tried the colour controls that I can think of, such as monochrome, saturation and all that and neither can I find any documentation online about how to do this.
Does anyone here have any suggestions?
I forgot to add that I'm using Videostudio Ultimate 2019.
TIA.

I don't remember just now how to do it in single vsp but this is a simple way
first you black your hands save that as 1Pass vsp,
Load it flat over white and key it

Re: How Can I Change Video Colours?
Thanks for the help but I don't fully understand what you're doing. I followed your instructions and the pictures exactly but when I re-open the 1pass.vsp file, my arm is white and still with a green background. Like I said, I'm doing exactly what you've said and shown, so I can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Is there a step I'm missing?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You should not "open" 1pass.vsp, just load it as a clip to the timeline and apply chroma key.Mist001 wrote:Thanks for the help but I don't fully understand what you're doing. Re: How Can I Change Video Colours?
Thanks for your help but I've given up. It's ridiculous for me to spend this amount of time just for a ten second clip of video. I only wanted a two colour video, not to spend hours on it!
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.

Re: How Can I Change Video Colours?
It's up to you, I gave you all the info and this is the simple way.
I did it in VS2018, I don't think in 2019 it should be different.

Re: How Can I Change Video Colours?
Like I said, I appreciate your help but for me, something so basic and simple shouldn't be taking so long. I originally posted about this almost 24 hours ago. I fully expected the program to have something very basic, the same as Corel Paintshop Pro does and simply give you the option to decrease colour depth. I mean, how hard can that be? Then I'd just decrease the colour depth to two colours, black and white, then adjust hue and saturation to change the background colour, exactly the same as I do in a graphics program.
So for me, it's ridiculous for me to waste this amount of time on something which should be very simple and that's why I've given up.
