I record programmes from the TV. Occasionally I like to trim a programme and save the result as an mpeg 2 file for later burning. VS only saves as *.vsp and the resulting video is much too small. How do I save as an mpeg and also enlarge the picture.

Peter,
When you Save your project, you are not creating the Mpeg2 video file - you are just saving the rather small project file. To make the video file, select the SHARE tab, select Create Video File, then select Custom/Options, to set your properties to exactly match the properties of your edited video clips.

Video too small

Thank you John. When I save a TV programme with Fusion HDTV card to an MPEG and view it with PowerDVD the programme is normal (full screen) but when I open it in VS 9 and process it it is only 1/10 screen size, I must be doing something wrong!

With the video in your library pane, right click it and copy down the properties and post them here.

I am not sure if you mean that the preview window in VS is smaller than PowerDVD's or that the video only appears in a small block in the VS preview window...?

The preview under share tab is indeed very small, 1/10 is the right size, with clips in HQ mode, but found no such effect when burn to 4.7G DVD, either view in computer or tv.
