Need help to marquee a large objects
When zooming in (for accuracy) and use the "Freehand" tool with Edge Seeker to draw around an object that is then larger than the screen, I need to move the cursor outside the borders to drag the next part of the object into view, a painfully slow process. If I make a mistake at this point, the start and end points are automatically connected, and some of the background gets included in the marqueed object. Is there a way to go back a step or pause drawing a marquee to move the object I'm tracing, without PSP completing the loop?

No, but that is what the add and remove modes are for. If you accidentally complete the selection don't worry about it. Just change the mode to "Add" and start a new selection it will be added to your current selection. And if it selects part of the background change the mode to "Remove" and select the area to remove from the selection. I personally prefer to select a large object a little bit at a time using these options.

Which is also possible: When using the "freehand" tool, you can delete the last set point with the "Del" key.
