Text disappears VS 2018 & 19

I created text that goes beyond the displayed screen, but when I customize motion the text below the screen does not appear. Scrolling only displays a screens worth of it.

I have made long scrolling text boxes many times. The opening to this short video is typical of a scrolling text.

Something is wrong with the program. I know how to do this. I created a long string of sentences. I then lowered the first sentence so as to have it come up from below. Now, everything below it disappeared. I will try a reinstall and see what happens.

What method are you using for motion? Your first post stated "customize motion" but have you tried using text Attribute > Animation > Apply > Fly? That method doesn't need lead in padding so no need to lower the first line.

Also, what paragraph alignment are you using when you begin the paste process?

It works if you use the clipboard method or Lorum Ipsum, but you should be able to pump in line afer line and have it work directly from the screen, but obviously that does not work. Nevertheless I have three ways to do it: Lorum Ipsum, the clipboard, or attributes fly, which is the easiest. Now I am satisfied. Thanks for you interest.

I'm not understanding the issue from your description. Are you saying that typing directly into the VS text box isn't working but pasting text from your clipboard works?

I should back up and ask: do you want a verticle scroll or a horizontal "pan" of text?

This sounds like an alignment issue. It confounded me for many hours until I learned how the text box works in VS...no line wrap and defaulting to justified can really play tricks.

The problem here has been mentioned on the forum, I would have to do a search to find the post

1 / If you are intending to apply Customise Motion to a Text clip then all words should be visible in the preview screen, this will mean reducing the font size
Of course if you have a lot of text this will be a problem, you may have to use 2 text clips.
2 / Set the title to the middle using the anchor options - Alignment --
3 / do not apply text / Title animation

4 / Now using Customise Motion set the size to increase the text size, the apply any animation / positioning

All text / words should now be available / visible.

I am sure this could be fixed by Corel but for the time being thats the best suggestion i have.

Could you Zip and attach your VSP containing the Title clip to this post then we can see just how much text you are working with

Your original used Fly animation, I did not see anything wrong with that.

Attached is a zipped VSP with Customised Motion applied you will have to re-link the project
Although if you add the VSP to your Aulde folder it might re-link

Play the effect on the timeline
Drag the title clip to the library as a copy
Remove Customise Motion to view the text on screen, font size
Hit Undo to reset the Customise Motion.

I just used this package to show you the length of the clip. I have prepared a test package which contains the problem.
It consists of nonsense letters, the last of which should be a row of z's. However, it never appears when played.

I just ran the file you gave me to download and it played as it should. I assume it was created with the customize motion optionWhy did mine fail and what did you do?

Shows up just fine in VS2018 but NOT in VS2019. Odd.

I reset the Fly animation to your text box and then it partially worked. I think it is a problem with VS2019.

I made as sample scrolling text box which I dragged the Title Library. That way I can reload it to my overlay track then apply Customize Motion. It works for me. Download this sample I made:

We fortunately have alternatives, attributed/fly, the clipboard and Lorem Ipsum, but Corel should fix this ongoing anomaly and others. Their work flow and tools are excellent-when they work. Working a bit with PD one sees the difference. Both programs have their good points, but Corel has many more, but must improve on function.
