I recently used split screen templates after watching the tutorial video, had a load of fun, and then later upgraded /patched my VS2019. My split screen templates have gone, I seem to have somehow moved the templates folder or something, because the tutorial project I practised on, is in the "Split Screen" templates folder, and the 5 splitter templates that used to be in there are all gone!
I have the split-screen editor (ultimate), so I can easily make fresh ones I suppose, but puzzled why the templates just vanished on me - I think something did not import ehen i updated/upgraded)
It's almost as if I have a filter applied in the view, or I moved the files somehow, I recal there being 4 or 5 layouts, in there - any clues how I can re-import these? Or do I need to re-install a add-on?

Re: Split screen templates dissapeared
Hi
I am not sure which program templates you are referring to ????
Using the Split Screen Template Editor we have two options to save the template
Choosing OK will return us to the timelines placing the Split Screen Template in the Media Library (possibly the Samples folder) as a SplitScreen01.vsmontage clip
Double clicking that clip will open the Template Editor again allowing us to continue editing the template.
The actual file is saved to:-
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\22.0\SplitScreen
I assume it is these files you have lost?
It is possible that re-installing the from the trial to the purchased version has wiped those files.
You could look in your re-cycle bin, a bit of a long shot.
Back to the Split Screen Template Editor and we have the option to Export as Template, this I find a little confusing as it will create an Instant Project having a similar name saved to the Instant Projects Library
Although it does resemble a Split Screen Template, double clicking this will NOT open the editor as it is an Instant Project
There are 9 other similar IP clips all appearing to be Split Screen but actually Instant Projects
The actual Split Screen files associated with these are here:-
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2019\EditingStyle\Style\Split Screen\PAL or NTSC
Now if you were to import these to the Media Library – create a new folder for these by hitting the ADD + option
These 9 clips are Split Screen Templates, although are identical to their Instant Project clips counterparts double clicking will open the Split Screen Editor
Your lost files are probably gone, but do a search of your drives for SplitScreen01.vsmontage clip, or similar name.

Re: Split screen templates dissapeared
Bonus, thanks Lata
I hunted for that Split Screen\PAL or NTSC folder, yep, files were there, then I created a media folder and dragged them in, happy as can be, although not on the templates tab, that's not a biggie.
Thanks, much happier today all round.
