In Live Screen Capture, I set a custom frame size of 480 x 720p and would like to drag it to a specific place on my monitor screen. If I use "Freehand selection," I see no way of accurately dragging the handles to obtain a specific frame size; besides, when using "Freehand selection," the white capture area is not aligned with the frame that has handles; and the capture frame is unmanageable (major bug?).
Any way to capture 480 x 720p video or align the white capture area with the frame that has handles?
Any way to drag a custom frame?

Re: Any way to drag a custom frame?
Hi
Using the freehand I can drag a rectangular selection
Now I can set the Width and Height to 480 x 720
I then click the link to set the aspect ratio
Now I can drag the selection by holding the target looking rings in the middle of the selection
Yep a little hard to see but my mouse does change to the hand view
If I were capturing the Video Studio interface I would set the size to the standard 1280 x 720
Then I can resize the Video Studio UI under the capture selection
I find that using unusual sizes does cause some issues when trying to edit the recording within Video Studio

Thanks for lending a hand. You mention that you "...click the link to set the aspect ratio." Are you referring to the URL in the web address field, up top of a browser?
I carefully hovered over every pixel in the center of the frame with handles, but the pointer did not change into a hand that would let me drag it. So what are you doing differently?

Hi
By Link, maybe I should have said “Chain Link” between the 480 and 720 sizes which will lock the aspect ratio.
And to move the selection we drag the centre of the selection, view attached image

Re: Any way to drag a custom frame?
That worked. Thank you. Thank you.
I did not realize that firstly VS had to be launched and minimized. I had a tiled shortcut directly to LSC.

Hi
You do not need Video Studio open to run LSC, you can run from the Start menu the link in the drop down menu for CorelVideoStudio
The selection area has to be manually set by using the Freehand selection to the left of the frame size, then we set 480 x 720
The panel at the top when showing Custom will show the move options in the middle, those rings

Re: Any way to drag a custom frame?
Thanks for all the help.
Yes, LCS can be launched from the executable; and I had created a shortcut to the app. But on my system, the capture frame can only be dragged about on the screen (from the center) when launched from within VS.

Hi
Are you sure you are in Custom selection, then dragging the Freehand Selection, that will show a rectangle with the centre circles allowing you to re-position
If you need a fixed size simply type in the width and height

Re: Any way to drag a custom frame?
Just noticed that I do not need to launch VS to drag the LSC frame if working with only one monitor. When I drag the LSC GUI out of the way to a second (extended) screen, only then do I encounter the issues I mentioned earlier. Thank you for the valuable help.
