My Smart Proxy folder has 500GB of files and it's sucking up a lot of space on my SSD. Do I need them or can I delete them.

The *.upx proxy files can be deleted as they can be recreated if required. Of course, you probably don't want to delete the proxy files associated with the projects that you're actively working on.Old Grey wrote:Do I need them or can I delete them.

In other words, you can delete all proxy files from projects which you have already finished...

Why you have them on the SSD? Are your projects 14 live overlays? if they simple you can have the proxies on HDD.Old Grey wrote:My Smart Proxy folder has 500GB of files and it's sucking up a lot of space on my SSD. Do I need them or can I delete them.

Re: Do I need .upx Smart Proxy files
I don't think I will be needing them again, so I'll get rid of them. It's weird how editing a 2GB video made a 6GB SP file, as all the others are quite small relative to their videos.
Thanks guys.
That is where the default ended up. I found the redirect in Preferences, but there is not enough room on my 2TB HDD - I'm cleaning stuff out today -.asik1 wrote:Why you have them on the SSD? Are your projects 14 live overlays? if they simple you can have the proxies on HDD.
