PSP 2019 Cannot Undo after a deselection.

Hey guys. MAJOR bug, and I can't believe this hasn't been dealt with. I've replicated it on three different installations, and demonstrated it on a friend's install, so this is not a problem with either of my desktops, my laptop, or hers... any time I make a point-to-point selection and then do any work in that selection (very common for portrait corrections), if I have to undo anything once the selection is gone, there is a hard stop in the undo cache... it shows everything in the History pane, but nothing happens. This is a major part of my workflow (making simple area-specific adjustments, de-selecting so I can see the image without the selection indicator, then hitting ctrl-z to undo the "Select None" command and get the selection back and/or make/undo further actions) and has been since day one back in the 90's.

In which versions did your method work, and in which versions did it fail?

Also, you can just hide the marquee instead of removing the selection. This turns off the visual of "marching ants" around the selection, but the selection remains in place. Or you can save the selection to your alpha channel and restore it from there at any time. Those should work as workarounds for now.

Your profile says you have 2019 and X5. I just tried it on my copy of 2020 using what little instruction you gave and could not replicate it. Can you provide more information?
