PSP2020 Workspace
I keep changing the workspace colour to light grey but it keeps reverting to dark grey. This is both on a reload/reboot and when the program has simply been sitting open for some time. Also, when the program has a light grey background, whenever I load an image it loads first with a dark grey background then reverts to light grey, slowing the process down. How do I get it to keep light grey and not load all images on a dark grey background?

Re: PSP2020 Workspace
When you first change your workspace color, do you then save that workspace so that the saved workspace can become your default workspace? If not, then on reboot the workspace will revert to the default.

Re: PSP2020 Workspace
Unfortunately, yes I do save. And, as I said, it is not just after a re-boot.

Re: PSP2020 Workspace
Have you tried giving a different name to the workspace and then saving it. Then close PSP. When you open it again, make sure you load your Workspace which you created using a different name. To load your workspace go to:minizv wrote:I still need an answer to this.....
File >> Workspace >> Load
From the list select your customised workspace.
Generally, by default PSP will load the last workspace used but sometimes on some machines this may not be happening correctly.

Re: PSP2020 Workspace
I agree about PSP sometimes not loading the last used workspace. And, when I was trying out PSP2020, I found that it was particularly bad at remembering my saved workspaces and loading them - quite erratic in fact, and much more so than any version I have used.

That's why, when you get to a workspace you like, you save it as a named space. Then you can retrieve it when PSP forgets.JoeB wrote:I agree about PSP sometimes not loading the last used workspace. Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Re: PSP2020 Workspace
I do save them as named spaces. In PSP2019 I have about 20 of them, all named. And I named the ones in PSP2020 also. But I still had the behaviour that I described. And when I said it was erratic I also meant that sometimes it would load the last customizations that I made to the top menu bar but load the default (original) toolbar on the left. And sometimes it would be vice versa. The point is that we shouldn't have to reload those workspaces every time or even any time. PSP previous versions almost always remembered the last workspace used, or at worse I would have to reload my latest one only once to have it remembered. With 2020 I found that I was reloading my last customizations almost every time I opened it. That's one of the main reasons I'm still using 2019.ehume wrote:That's why, when you get to a workspace you like, you save it as a named space. Re: PSP2020 Workspace
I too have tried naming a workspace. It is a nuisance to have to load this every time and even then, after a time, it reverts to the default (Corel's default not mine). I have been using PSP since before Corel owned the program and have never had this problem before. Corel needs to fix this or refund for a defective product.
Also, I have email notification set on this forum and that is also not working. Sloppy Corel, very Sloppy!

Notification works for me and I assume for just about everybody or else we likely would have heard more complaints about it.minizv wrote:Also, I have email notification set on this forum and that is also not working. Sloppy Corel, very Sloppy!

I've just checked, and minizv is shown as requesting notification either by email or PM. I wonder if the messages via email might be going into the spam folder?

And perhaps if a person is also expecting PM notifications, then shouldn't that person should be checking into the site regularly to see if there is a PM?Ken Berry wrote:I've just checked, and minizv is shown as requesting notification either by email or PM. Re: PSP2020 Workspace
Just checked Spam - nothing from Corel there. Nothing under PM either.
I don't want to get hung up on notifications. The substantive complaint is that Corel keeps reverting to default. It did it yeasterday whilst editing photos. I am going to try a re-install and see if that helps. Any other suggestions welcome.

Re: PSP2020 Workspace
Just on the notification question, I've now checked back through our outward mail going back to your first post in this thread. I found an email there notifying you it had been approved. But after that there has been no emails to you, which I find a bit mysterious. I have thus removed your existing request for notification emails, and then reinserted it. Let's hope that might make a difference.

Hi Ken, Thanks for that. I did indeed get the first email.
Now, I have uninstalled cleaned my system, re-booted, then tried to reinstall. This is the result:
