I upgraded to video studio 2019 pro some time ago and now it has problem,
my sony dslr videos that are .MTS have been working for years with videostudio prev. models
Now when i drag them to timeline, they are without sound.
Even if i restart the app, still no sound, if make soundtrack visible, it's blank line.
Sometimes the sound does load with the same file, but i haven't figured out why is this, it's like random thing but happens way too often.
how to fix this ?
win 7 x64, cvspro 22.3.0.436

Re: VideoStudio Pro 2019 no sound
If your audio is Dolby Digital which is probable with .mts files, VS2019 does not support this format when using Win 7, you will need to change the format with a converter, HandBrake, Format Factory or similar

Re: VideoStudio Pro 2019 no sound
Is that the case ? I have seen that sometimes the audio does work
VLC says of my media information the following:
Codec: A52 Audio (aka AC3) (a52)
Channels: Stereo
Sample rate: 48000 Hz
Bitrate: 256 kb/S
I don't think it's dolby
in video studiox9 all of these files works fine, so how to fix this ?
Edit:
Yes, the videostudio shows that file audio type is Dolby Digital Audio
Seems quite strange, because my camera really does not have 5.1 mic

Re: VideoStudio Pro 2019 no sound
AC3 audio is Dolby. And Dolby works with dual channel stereo as well as surround sound 5.1. Corel's action of dropping Dolby from VS 2019 in Windows 7 applies to both stereo and surround sound. In Windows 10, it keeps Dolby for dual channel stereo, but has dropped it for surround sound 5.1. Few if any of us here can understand why Corel did this...

Re: VideoStudio Pro 2019 no sound
Is it possible to copy some file from X9 to 2019 ?
If corel really dropped the support,
this upgrade is totally crap for me and waste of money, can't use any of my files with the new vs.
Must have been some other files that the audio worked, not my sony
