Paintshop Pro 2020 Ultimate becomes unresponsive

After about 15 minutes or so after editing and saving a photo, Paintshop (64 bit) goes to 100% cpu (0% disk, 0 page fault delta) and becomes unresponsive. It can only be closed by killing the process. This didn't happen with any previous version to my recollection. The same thing happens with the 32 bit version, although it's unresponsive at about 20% cpu..

Did you try resetting the preferences?

I have the same problem. My only solution is the same as the one I used in Photoshop Elements: Save early and Save often. Happens less often and I don't lose my edits.

Have just been testing with PSP2020 64 bit version and no hangs. Test has been running for over an hour and have been doing othet processing of video files - converting .ts files to .mp4 files. CPU usage averages about 40 % and no problems.
The folder being accessed is a test folder on my desktop with about 30 images present in the Organiser.

May need a reset of your program with Shift key held down while restarting. If that does not work , re download the program and reinstall.
My version of PSP 2020 is 22.1.0.43.
