Does VS support 480 x 720p (portrait) frames?
I edited an MP4 video clip with a frame size of 480 x 720p (portrait) and wish to save it with the same properties. I tried every option, including Custom; but the "User-defined" setting is grayed. Any way to get version X10 to save the file with the frame size of the original?

Sounds to me as though you are choosing the wrong options in the 'Share' panel - can you not select the Mobile Devices options as I have shown in my image which is for X10.5 - your profile says you have X10.5 although your signature doesn't

Thanks for responding. I updated my profile but version X10.5 does not appear in the post...maybe in the next post.
Your screenshot is 720x480 (DAR: 1.50:1), not 480x720 (0.667:1) that I have, which is not widescreen but portrait orientation, not uncommon on YouTube. Very disappointing if VS does not support such a common frame size. But surely I am overlooking something.

Re: Does VS support 480 x 720p (portrait) frames?
Problem solved, thanks to Trevor. Below are the steps I successfully used. Compression must be disabled before "User-defined" is functional.
1. Share tab -> AVI (or MOV) as custom frame sizes are limited to these two file formats, even in current version (12/19).
2. Create Custom Profile ("+" icon at right of "Properties" panel) -> type in a name; e.g.:
DV(480x720,30fps)
3. AVI tab -> set as follows...
~ Compression: None
~ Data type: 24-Bit RGB
~ Audio Format: PCM
~ Attribute: 48000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
4. General tab -> set, for example, as follows...
~ Data track: Audio & Video
~ Frame rate: 30 fps
~ Frame type: Frame-based (allows scrolling picture by picture, aka progressive).
~ User-defined: 480x720
5. OK.
6. Dance around the room!
