I've used VS off and on for around 6-7 years. I currently have 2018 Ultimate. A friend just bought a VG Canon 4K camera. Which would be most stable version of VS should I recommend to him?
I haven't read all the posts about the 2019 problems but it seems it's less stable than 2018 or X10.
I have more experience with X10 and you can get it from Amazon for $30.
Is there any advantage in editing 4K video in getting 2018 over X10?
My friend would use this as a hobby. He isn't a professional video guy.
Thanks!

No. IMHO VS2018 has a nicer interface than X10 but X10 is more stable when rendering projects.delaluz wrote:Is there any advantage in editing 4K video in getting 2018 over X10?
In my experience, the best approach is to edit in VS2018 and then render in X10. However, if your projects are straightforward then VS2018 alone is probably OK.delaluz wrote:Which would be most stable version of VS should I recommend to him?

delaluz, do you still wants to be friends ?
You know that for 4K you need a top-notch hardware and more, but will VS use it efficiently ?
Let the others tell their tale.
