My Lighten/Darken Tool no longer works

This sounds so bizarre, but I love using the lighten button to erase loads of stuff like backgrounds etc., It replaces everything with white.

Now it just doesn't work. I have Corel Paint shop Pro 2020, and it worked yesterday. Any help would be great, as I need to alter loads of photos, but can't!!!

I have tried ticking/unticking Stroke, Continuous, Mode, but to no avail. It does say L when I click on it so just don't know.

You probably need to reset PSP to factory default settings: Close PSP. Then hold down the Shift key when you click on the desktop icon for PSP. You will be asked if you want to reset.

Make sure you save any customized workspaces you might have made as they will be lost in the reset, but you can restore them after resetting.

Terry perhaps your PSP updated to the latest version.
It is noted in the following thread on 30th October that the brush is not working correctly after the latest update.

You are a life saver. All ok now - I just reset everything to factory default settings, tried the Lighten/Darken Tool, and YES, it worked.
