Media Studio Pro 7 Upgrade .... from Video Studio 8?

Post by ejskater16 »

Is it possible for me to upgrade to Media Studio 7 from previously owning Video Studio 7 and 8? I think I read somewhere that you can do this, but that it is just a little more expensive than if you were to upgrade from a previous version of Media Studio Pro. THANKS!

Have a look to the Ulead Website in your country.

There are lots of hints for upgrading from competition, from Ulead products and for single complete packages.

Here in germany you can get from Ulead the complete version for EURO 115,- just now or as an upgrade for about EURO 80,- both are the Download versions.

In the US Ulead sells the MSP7 for US$ 199,- Upgrade from videostudio or the complete package for US$ 299,- (both downlöoad versions)

The big differences may be base on currency issues and the market position.

Yes. I actually run both. The Visual Studio 8 has the auto sound and cool stuff like that, but MSP has the masking and such so I'm always bouncing back and forth. I haven't had a problem with them being compatible on the same machine.

I find it kind of funny that the flagship product (MSP) lacks support for simple things like the auto-soundtrack generation that the 'junior' product has.

Russell.Dickerson,

I'm with you. Because in earlier times only Pinnacles Studio had this Smartsound feature i made some of my background music in pinnacles, catched the *.tmp file from studio, rename it to Name.wav and put it into MSP - but don't open both together !

In between i have the Movie Maestro, too, but its a lot easier within studio in my opinion and i'm shure comparable with the vdideostudio 8.handlin.

Here on my machines all run fine together und i still try to get the best of each program. i have payed for.
