320 x 240 video with high res photos slides

Hi all. Newbie question again.

I have an Olympus Stylus 500 digital camera that takes 320 x 240 QuickTime videos along with 2560 x 1920 digital photos. How can I create a slideshow/movie that will play on a normal NTSC TV without distorting my video? I'd like the photos to be the best resolution that my TV can handle (720 x 640) and my videos not distorted. Can the video be placed at it's full resolution and only occupy the 320 x 240 area of the 720 x 640 screen?

You can put the video from your camera into an appropriately sized overlay on a black background.
