Suddenly can't see pspimage thumbs

Post by OldNick »

I have no idea what caused this. As of this morning I find that pspimage thumbnails are showing as large icons.

I have searched this forum and found probably 1000 results from each search. I read a few but had no luck trying the suggestions. I have had this happen before, but a long time ago. Since I could see the thumbnails until some recent time, I assume I was given a solution that worked for me.

Thanks for any help
Nick

This happens to me too, quite regularly :-(

My solution has been to make sure the Edit History is included with the .pspimage file, then it shows the content, but if not, it shows an icon.

Worth a try :-)

Thanks for the reply.

Oookaaay! Sorry I am not outright doubting that will work. I will certainly try it. But I have not been in the habit of including the history and last time I was working all was fine.

I agree, I don't always save with History if I haven't done anything to the image :-)
I have tried so many different permutations!
I also use Mystic Thumbs:
https://mysticcoder.net/mysticthumbs
But that doesn't always solve the problem either (I see it's got a lot more expensive since I bought it years ago).
In the end it is something Corel should sort out, but I am not holding my breath.. ;-)

I have found the free Sage Thumbs to do the trick.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Have tried that several times.
To show the pspimages, the 'open with' must point to the used PaintShop program - right click such a file and choose PaintShop as default.
If that does not work try to reinstall PaintShop - check option if there is a selection for thumbnail view.
