I am contemplating upgrading from VS to MS Pro 7.
For those who started with VS and upgraded to MS Pro, how was the learning curve? Is it worth the extra $$$? How many video / audio tracks available?
Thanks………..
Upgrade ???

MSPro 7 or 8 can have up to 99 video and audio tracks per timeline. In MSPro 7 you have just one timeline.
MSPro 8 differs in that it can have multiple timelines that can be applied to other timelines as a "virtual clip". For more info on MSPro 8 check out the previous threads from the last month or so.
There are free trials of both on Uleads site, so I'd recommend giving each a go. Just remember that the MSPro 8 "trial" is a public beta, meaning it isn't finished yet.
Are they worth the extra money? Yes, if you need the extra power.
Just remember that MSPro 7 will be missing a few features that VideoStudio users have gotten used to: SmartSound, Multi-Trim etc. MSPro 8 has these.
This is because VideoStudio is often used as a testbed for these features with MSPro getting them later. This is the case in MSPro 7 vs. MSPro 8.
