I use external voice recorder to get the video sound as better quality. It is mp3-file
I have been manually synching voice to video and then export to hq so that i don't get the awful pain of synch, even with locking the voice track when editing and cutting video to pieces.
Is there a better way ?
How about synching multi camera data, one from gopro and one from normal camera, is there a tutorial for this ?

Re: external sound track
2 things
A- you better use WAV and not mp3.
B- No need to pre render, just load the synced vsp file as media.

Yes, but after i load it and lock it
when I need to cut the video from multiple points, it usually also wants to delete the audio clip.
In macbook's iMovie it's more smarter, the locked clip attaches to the main track's clip like with a needle poining to the start only and not all the way.
works much better that way

Hi jukka
Once you have synced the video to audio file I assume you have saved the project
If you now import that VSP to the library (aka nesting) adding one vsp within another project.
Start a new project to empty the timelines
you can then drag to the VSP from the library to the timeline, press Shift before dropping will Flatten the project to a single clip
Now you should be able to cut and retain audio sync.
Not done that myself but should work, I think Asik1 was referring with comment ” just load the synced vsp file as media.”
