I managed to figure it out from this thread viewtopic.php?t=13208&p=61153
I am on version, 2018 still, and find the whole thing of selecting a channel, hitting play, then quickly dragging counter to what I want to do if I have a short timeline, and not very easy to edit accurately. Is this something that other people just don't do for imersive effect, or that people just edit the sound separately (I do this a lot already) It's just very fiddly to do in reality, are there easier ways to manipulate or play at slower speed perhaps. I am also finding that 2018 will randomly crash on me while I'm reviewring the stereo position and just hitting the play button 6 times in a row on a 10 second clip.

Re: stereo position
Hi, Your title is stereo position but you refer to a 5.1 thread.
Most of us in the forum do stereo only.
I hope some one can understand your issue, I don't.
